Coldplay are a British rock-pop band, formed in London, UK in 1997. The band comprises vocalist and pianist Chris Martin, guitar strummer Jonny Buckland, bass guitar player Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champ .
Having released 4 successful albums, ( all of which debuted at number one on the United Kingdom album chart ) Coldplay have also achieved great success with their singles ,eg Yellow, Speed of Sound, the Grammy-winning Clocks and the US and UK one single Viva La Vida Face Chris Martin credits 1980s Norwegian pop band a-ha with galvanizing him to form his very own band.
